I am Trillphill.

I am Trillphill, an artist and creator from Fresno, California using my passion for music and creativity to connect people all over the world. I tell my supporters to "Stay Trill" or in other words: Keep moving, it will happen in time. My music is not applicable to any individual genre, as each song incorporates elements from all of the genres that have influenced me throughout my life. My new single, "Are We There Yet?" tells the relatable story of impatience. When will my hard work pay off? During these uncertain, droning days, it is easy to feel behind in a life that feels out of your control. This self-produced track provides an optimistic take on this struggle through a refreshing, yet nostalgic sound and delivery. “Are We There Yet?” is the single that I am currently prioritizing, but my catalog is worth diving into, as you’ll find my musical/brand potential is something to be taken seriously.

My musical journey began at the age of 8 after joining a local youth percussion performance group called "We Got the Beat." It was during this time that I learned how to play the drums, piano, guitar, trumpet, and more, as well as how to improvise through jazz, rock, pop, and other world genres, including Latin jazz and samba reggae. I continued to play with this group for 4 years through the sixth grade, and then in the more advanced group for the older kids called “Beyond the Beat” through my senior year in high school.
Around the age of 9, I got into video editing as I would spend my free time making YouTube videos on Windows Movie Maker. These videos ranged from Lego stop-motion to special effects, and later on even Minecraft gaming videos. It was my time making these videos that lay a foundation in video editing. As I continued to progress, I picked up even more advanced video and photo editing techniques in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop. I learned everything that I knew by watching YouTube tutorials and doing my best to mimic what other creators would do in their videos. Also around the age of 10, I began to play the drums at my church for the kids’ services.

All of these interests and love for music accumulated into a fascination for production. After my parents agreed to give me $200 instead of a 13th birthday party, I used it to buy the music production software Logic Pro X. Years of watching YouTube tutorials and experimenting in EDM, covers, and beat-making led to my first release on SoundCloud under the name "P3."‘

After realizing my potential in making music my career path, I changed my name to Trillphill and kept releasing music leading up to my debut EP "Road to Trillville" in summer 2019. It was on this project that I began to showcase my diverse skill set. My entire EP was self produced, mixed, and mastered, as well as the promotional videos and art which were all created on my laptop. It was also this project that showcased my musical versatility to the world, incorporating elements of live instrumentation, such as guitars and pianos, with modern, contemporary sounds. My unique background in world styles and creative ear blend on every track to create an organic sound that you won't hear from any other artist. My music is an extension of myself, how I am feeling in a moment in time, my music is me.

The fact that you have shown the interest to learn more about me as an artist means the world and I can’t wait to share this journey with you.
